Requests received after the stated Closing Date will not be accepted. There are a total of one hundred and fifty (150) pairs of shoes available in this giveaway:

Approximate retail value: Three Hundred and fifteen dollars ($315) CAD per pair.

Official Giveaway Rules:

  1. Sponsors: This Giveaway is being managed by National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) and the national Indigenous Youth Working Group on Vaccine Uptake. NAFC’s use of particular brands as Giveaway items does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
  2. Eligibility: The Giveaway is open to legal residents of Canada, who:
    1. Identify as Indigenous youth;
    2. Are between the ages of 12-29 years of age; and
    In the case of individuals between the age of 12 and the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, such individual’s parent or legal guardian must consent to these rules and their child’s entry in the Giveaway by filling out the My Vaxx Journey – Consent Form available through JotForm.

    Employees of the Sponsors, their parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, Giveaway administrators, and any other parties engaged in the development, production, or distribution of Giveaway materials are not eligible for the giveaway.

    By participating in this Giveaway, entrants, or their parent or legal guardian, as applicable, acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Giveaway Rules. Entrants, or their parent or legal guardian, as applicable, who do not comply with any of the Giveaway Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsors, in Sponsors’ sole discretion.
  3. Giveaway Dates and Times: The Giveaway begins on February 7, 2022 at 9 a.m. CST. Deadline for submissions will remain open until August 31, 2022 at midnight CST, or until supplies are no longer available, whichever occurs first. An announcement of the Closing Date will be posted on the My Vaxx Journey social media campaigns and on the myvaxxjourney.ca webpage. Submissions received after the posted Closing Date will not be accepted.
  4. How To Enter: The My Vaxx Journey Kicks COVID Campaign Giveaway is free to participate in, and no purchase is necessary. Applicants, or their parent or legal guardian, as applicable, can apply to the giveaway by completing each of the following:
    1. Follow the My Vaxx Journey social media accounts on 1 or all platforms on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube
    2. Tag two social media accounts of Indigenous Youth, or Indigenous organizations that support youth;
    3. Create a video entry according to the Video Guidelines; and
    A maximum of one video entry is allowed per participant. Videos containing inappropriate language and/or behaviours such as hate speech, racism, profanity, threats, bullying, harassment or nudity will be automatically disqualified with no appeal.

    Any attempt or suspected attempt to use robotic, automatic, programmed or otherwise illicit means to enter the Giveaway, or any other methods not authorized by these Giveaway Rules, for example, but not limited to, creating multiple accounts, identities, or registrations, all in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, shall be deemed as tampering and may disqualify you from entering, participating, and/or receiving shoes in the giveaway. Applications that contain false or incomplete information are void as are those that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular, or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Giveaway Rules are void. Entrants or their parents or legal guardians, as applicable, grant Sponsors a non-exclusive license to use all videos and applications for any purpose. No correspondence will be entered into except with those awarded in the giveaway, as defined below. Proof of transmission (for example, screenshots or captures) does not constitute proof of application or receipt of an application.
  5. Giveaway details: There are a total of one hundred and fifty prizes (150) pairs of Air Jordans as described available in the giveaway as follows:

    150 Union LA x Air Jordan Retro 4’s in Desert Moss, Taupe Haze, Guava Ice, and Off Noir colours totaling approximately forty seven thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($47,250), approximately $315 per pair.

    All recipients, or their parent or legal guardian, as applicable, assume any and all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by entering, participating in this Giveaway or the use or redemption of the giveaway. Giveaway items must be accepted as awarded.Giveaway or any portion cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or special offers. Giveaway items are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  6. Odds of Receiving: The odds of receiving giveaway depend on the number of eligible applications received before the Closing Date.
  7. Giveaway Selection and Confirmation: Each participant who applies and meets all eligibility criteria, will be notified once the Consent Form and Video Submission have been fully reviewed and meet all Giveaway criteria. Participants who do not meet the Giveaway eligibility criteria will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive shoes.

    Within fourteen (14) business days of the Closing Date, NAFC will contact Giveaway recipients, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), by email, or Direct Message on a single social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter only). Up to two (2) attempts to contact recipients, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), via e-mail or Direct Message on a single social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter only) will be made by NAFC, within seven (7) business days of first contact.

    NAFC is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a Selected Giveaway Recipient or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable, to receive notification or for the NAFC to receive a Selected Giveaway Recipient (or their parent(s)’ or legal guardian(s)’, as applicable) response.

    Please allow for a minimum of 30 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.
  8. Use of Personal Information: By participating in the Giveaway, participants, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), consent to sharing their contact information for the purposes of qualification and to receive one giveaway item, if qualified. NAFC guarantees to keep entrant personal information private. Personal data of Giveaway entrants will not be shared to any additional parties subject to applicable privacy laws in Canada.
  9. Social Media: All entrants agree that their videos will be shared on any or all of the My Vaxx Journey social media accounts. This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or other social media platforms where information about the promotion may appear.
  10. Release and Indemnification: All Selected Giveaway Recipients, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable, must sign the Consent Form to: (i) confirm compliance with all Giveaway Rules; (ii) agree to accept giveaway items as awarded; (iii) release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsors, their departments and agencies, parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, counsel, marketing partners, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, subsidiaries, agents, artists, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the administration, development, and execution of the Giveaway (Released Parties) from any and all manner of action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, or any suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, failure of any third-party contractor or supplier used in connection with any aspect of the Giveaway to perform or deliver any goods or services, or any other event beyond the Released Parties’ control, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a recipient, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable, with any aspect of the Giveaway or any giveaway items, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants, or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable, guests or other third parties, their heirs, successors or assigns have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable) participation in the Giveaway and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable) of giveaway items as awarded; and (iv) indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the Released Parties may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by participants (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable) with any of the Giveaway Rules or participation in the Giveaway and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an entrant (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable), use or misuse of a prize, or any travel related thereto.

    The Sponsors are not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry information that may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Giveaway or be awarded an item. including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries that fail to fully comply with these Giveaway Rules; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) lost, incomplete, delayed, mutilated or misdirected applications or releases; (iv) injury or damage to entrants’ (or their parent(s)' or legal guardian(s)' (as applicable) computers or to any other individual’s computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Giveaway or accepting a giveaway item; (v) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participant’s (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable) participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including any related travel and the use of entries by Sponsors; (vi) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer hackers or otherwise; or (vii) late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential recipient.
  11. Law: The Giveaway is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, municipal, and local laws. This Giveaway shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Ontario including all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Giveaway rules, rights, and obligations between entrants (or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), as applicable) and the Sponsor, and procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be adjudicated by the courts sitting in Ottawa, Ontario.
  12. Rule Amendments: The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Giveaway Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Giveaway, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Giveaway.
